This new 16Bit Version of the CardBus (PCMCIA Slot) to ExpressUSB Adapter converts CardBus host interface slot to ExpressCard/34 slot for USB-based ExpressCard/34 devices. It allows all kinds of USB-based ExpressCard/34 device to be used on laptop computer on which only CardBus expansion slot is available. Example of USB-based ExpressCard devices include:
- Memory Card Readers (CF, MS, SD, etc)
- Legacy I/O (Serial , Parallel Port)
- TV Tuners
- Wireless LAN (WiF) adapters
- Wireless WAN/Wireless Broadband Internet (3G, CDMA, EVDO, GPRS, UMTS, etc)
- Supports 3G/3.5G/3.75G HSDPA/HSUPA modems through USB 2.0 channel
