A USB to IDE Adapter is the missing link between connecting an internal IDE hard drive to a spare USB port. Using the VE225 as an example, you can also easily connect a 5.25" CD/DVD Rom drive or a 2.5" HDD. On the main body of the adapter there are three connector ports, one 44-Pin for 2.5" HDD, a 40-Pin for 3.5" & 5.25" HDD/CD/DVD's and a SATA connector.
